Cole is 1 year old! He is definitely turning into a toddler. We have to keep our eye on him! We spent the day playing outside, taking walks to the park, and playing in the pool.
Favorite activities these days include climbing stairs, walking with his push cart or truck, chewing on everything (toys, coffee table, Ralphie's tail, shoes, grass, sticks, bibs, burp clothes), whining, walks with Mom and Ralphie, growling, sucking on his index finger, splashing in his pool, laughing at his own jokes, and reading books.
We continue to work on his issues with mealtime. We're at a bit of a standstill right now, but head back to speech therapy this afternoon. We are also getting him evaluated by an occupational therapist next week. He has come a long way, and will now feed himself grapes, bananas, canned peaches and pears, cooked carrots (sometimes), rice chex, and toddler mum-mums (and allergen free birthday cupcakes).
No words yet, but he is doing some babbling - "da da", "ba ba", "ga ga" and growling like a lion (or Chicago Bear).
On his first birthday Cole took his first bleach bath for his eczema. Mom is still undecided about the results.
He has 8 teeth now and is working on getting in his 4 one-year molars. In the usual Cheeks style, they are all coming in at once. He is a drool machine lately.
He's a pretty happy and curious little guy. He wants constant attention lately, but we think it's probably due to teething (or at least we hope so!).
We love you, Buddy! Happy 1st birthday!
