SNOW and The First Tooth!

A snowstorm blew through Kansas City this week. We got about 6 inches of snow. Lucky Dad got to shovel all of it (sadly, we do not own a snowblower).

Year to date we have gotten 24 inches of snow compared to last year's 14 inches in total. Yikes!

In other news, Cole is getting his very first tooth. Dad noticed it a few days ago as Cole was screaming (better view of that mouth). So far, Cheeks is being a really good sport about it. All of the extra drool is doing a number on his belly, but he's otherwise been in a relatively good mood (we have, however, had the washing machine running constantly. Cheek's sheets were changed three times yesterday).

Sadly, though, Cole must take a two week break from his solids because his tummy is so upset (Mom and Dad aren't TOO heartbroken about this... a break from orange spit-up isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Since his bottom tooth has started coming in, Cole has taken to sucking on his lower lip much of the time.

In a Professor Grumpypants first, he SMILED at another mom and baby at our play class on Tuesday. This is huge!

He's really getting the hang of his jumper finally. He grabs on to Ralphie's beard as she walks by and has fun "talking" to the plastic flowers and his old friend, Jerry, the Giraffe.

The high in KC is not supposed to get above zero degrees this weekend, so we've got a cozy few days at home ahead of us!
