I Give Up

After a couple months of attempting to get Cole to sleep past 5am, I give up. The mornings where he has slept until 6am or later are few and far between. We're reverting back to feeding him when he wakes. We've tried ignoring him until a "normal" time to wake up, we've let him cry, and our little guy's alarm clock continues to go off almost every morning at the same time. So, for now, it's back to the bottle to help him back to sleep (and FYI, Cole's Digestive System, you're welcome to stop emptying yourself at 5am as well. You're not helping!).

Cole's first tooth is about halfway out, and a second tooth is just starting to poke through. I *think* there's a third on the way, but am not positive about that one.

Quite the big boy, Cole is also dropping down from 3 naps a day to 2.

Cheeks is back on solids, and is still LOVING his carrots. He's been a hungry guy lately. Our little man who hated his bottle before is now drinking around 40 ounces a day. Clearly we need to get him ramped up on solids, but have to wait 5 days between adding in new foods to make sure there's no allergic reaction.
Tomorrow we try butternut squash.

Each night Cole and I have a dance party in his room while I get his bath ready. He lays on a blanket on the floor shouting, eating his feet, and wiggling around while I dance around him. Cole is a big fan of Aretha Franklin ("Eleanor Rigby" his his favorite of hers), Otis Redding ("Happy Song" and "Sad Song") and Ray Charles ("Hallelujah, I Love Her So").

Cole's favorite toy is his ring stackers. Best $5 we ever spent. He takes the rings off, throws them or chews on them, we put them back on, and repeat the process about 87 times until he gets bored (5-10 minutes).
