7 Months Old!

Cole is 7 months old! He's changed a lot since last month. He's becoming his own little person.

He now rolls from his back to his belly, something he had been very stubborn about doing. As a result, he's discovered that he likes sleeping on his belly. We found him sleeping on his face yesterday afternoon.

He was quite comfy after a back rub from Dad.

Even though he can roll now, though, he continues to boycott tummy time. These days he'd rather just roll across the room.

We're still introducing solids. Carrots continue to be a hit, but he's not a big fan of butternut squash. He spits it out, and suddenly everything BUT eating becomes much more interesting. This week we're going to try sweet potatoes again.

A happy camper after breakfast with his daddy.

Dad got an extreme close-up of his two new teeth.

He continues to love to chew and suck on his fingers, but seems to prefer his index finger.

He's content playing while sitting up, and sometimes seems like he wants to go somewhere. He wiggles a bit like he wants to move forward, but ends up in a tripod position on his hands.

Night sleep is getting a little better, although he does continue to have some sort of scream-fest on a regular basis. Unfortunately, if we know he's not hungry, letting him cry and work it out on his own continues to be the best solution for him.

He likes hearing Mom & Dad sing to him, and lately thinks that bouncing on our knees while we sing "She'll be comin' round the mountain" is pretty fun (although we've changed the second verse to "she'll be bringin' a fat baby when she comes").

We've gotten some very tiny giggles out of him, but it takes some work, and is usually tough to repeat. We KNOW he's got a big belly laugh just waiting to burst out.

Happy 7 months, big boy. We love you lots!!!
