Cole had his first session with his occupational therapist, Susie, this morning. Overall, he was a good host. He showed her how he eats his breakfast and how he hates to be on his tummy. He also showed Susie how great he is at digesting his food - blowing LOUD toots out of both ends at the end of our session.
Susie was, for the most part, really happy with how Cole is doing. She gave us some "exercises" to help Cole become more aware of his facial muscles (which will allow him to take the bottle better). She also suggested we try tummy time on an incline - over a pillow, ball, or his "car", to help him build his upper body muscles.
She'll come back next week for round 2 together.
Cole is still working on teething and caught a cold this week, so he hasn't been in the best mood, but he still manages to have a good time.
In Ralphie news, she has learned to visit Cole after meal time for clean-up duty, but is also figuring out how to duck away from his hands as they grab for her eyebrows or beard.
(No, he's not laughing. No laughs yet!)
