Cole did a great job at speech therapy. Per usual, he was pretty quiet during the actual speech portion of his session, but he got pretty excited about playing with a toy fire engine and making "woo woo" sounds (in Cole-speak, it comes out as "wuuuh wuuuh").
During his feeding therapy, we worked on introducing cooked celery. We started by just getting him to touch it, and gave him LOTS of praise for that. He was a little unsure, but liked the attention.
His therapist then went on to get him to kiss the celery. Again, lots of praise, and he loved it (Cheeks loves an audience). She then got him to lick his celery, and finally he put it in his mouth. Mom isn't totally convinced that he actually liked the taste, but he loved the praise and ate several pieces.
Great job, big boy!
Note: He's not wearing pants in the pictures due to managing to get mashed yams all over bottom during his meal. Oh well. Clearly, he didn't seem to mind!
