11 Months Old!

Cole is 11 months old today! Mom was unsuccessful in getting him to pose for some pictures on the couch this morning. What she got pretty much sums up how Cole is these days. He always wants to move around, stand, explore, and put things in his mouth (other than food).

Cole's favorite activities include grabbing Ralphie, looking out the sunroom doors, practicing standing, chewing on the coffee table, knocking over block towers, waving "Hi" and "Bye-Bye", playing with his push-cart, and growling like a lion (or bear, if you ask Dad).

We are still working on his speech & feeding issues. He's become a bit more particular about what he eats, refusing things that he used to eat without a problem. He seems slightly sensitive to textures on his hands as well, as he gets a little upset about crumbs or purees in his hands. We are celebrating small victories, though. Dad was able to successfully get Cole to munch on some rice krispies over the weekend, and Cole doesn't seem to mind chewing on carrot sticks. He's also starting to use his tongue to make more noises, and makes a "ya ya ya" sound. Progress!

Yes, he's still got an orange nose. Sweet potatoes and carrots are a couple of the few things he'll eat these days!
