Dear Cole,
You are 2 years old today. I can hardly believe it. I am so proud of the little boy that you have become.
You have come such a long way from the grouchy, sickly little guy that you were as a baby. Your daddy and I would rush to grab the camera whenever you smiled because it didn't happen very often. Now you smile ALL of the time. You light up a room, and it makes my heart so happy to see how you make other people smile when you flash your cheeky little grin.
You are definitely turning into a 2 year old, and you've got a stubborn streak, just like your mom and dad. Sometimes you test my patience, especially when I don't understand exactly what you're trying to say. Try to be patient with me, buddy. I'm new at this, too.
Today you went to your first class without Mom. You were a little nervous at first and didn't want to participate, but once you got the hang of it, you had a ball. I got to sit outside of the room to watch you, and your old mom teared up a bit when she saw how much fun you were having. I'm so, so proud of you, buddy.
I'm so thankful you're my son. I thank God for 2 things every day: 1) that of all of the girls your good lookin' daddy could have had, he picked ME and 2) that God chose you for me and me for you. I am so, so lucky.
Happy birthday, sweet boy. I love you, love you, and love you.
Love,
Mom
