Just an Update

Cole has had a busy couple of weeks. Last week he had his one year check up. His weight came in at the 57th percentile, and his height is now at the 80th percentile. He grew 3 inches in 3 months. Way to go, Big Boy! Overall, his doctor was very happy with his development.

Cole took his first steps this week. He took one step on Tuesday, and yesterday took 2 steps to close a door on Mom. He is always on the move, and has started to bear crawl on hands and feet.

We decided to have him completely evaluated by our local Early Intervention services. We have had 4 therapists come out to our home to watch him play, socialize, and eat. Each therapist agreed that Cole has sensory processing issues mainly related to food, and as a result, we are eligible to receive in-home therapy. This morning Mom met with the group and our coordinator to put together some goals for Cole's therapy, and it looks like he will have weekly visits from a speech therapist and occupational therapist. This is good progress! Once our coordinator tracks down some available therapists with feeding experience, we'll get started.
