Cole turned FIVE years old on June 24th. It is hard to believe that he is such a big boy already. We celebrated with family and friends. Cole requested an "Outer Space" party, so Mom and Dad did their best with the cake and decorations. He had a great time playing with his cousins and friends.

He woke up on his birthday claiming that he grew taller overnight, and thrilled that he could use his whole hand to show how old he is.
We started the day with a good visit to check up on the baby (he's doing great!), had lunch with Nana Jensen, play with a buddy from preschool in the afternoon, a dinner of waffles and yellow cake with mint frosting for dinner, and some rollerblading with Daddy after dinner.
An exhausting, but great day for Cheeks!
At five years old, his favorite activities including talking, tinkering with things (building with blocks, making marble runs, or tracks for his cars), puzzles, reading, talking, making "signs", anything with Daddy ("helping" with projects, golf, hockey), more talking, playing outside, and tormenting Ralphie. Favorite foods include sunbutter sandwiches, hot dogs, sourdough waffles, and lately, whatever Daddy makes on his smoker ("it tastes better").
Ralphie, meanwhile, is up to her usual tricks.
