First Trip to the ER

Cheeks had his first trip to the emergency room last night. He had a nice, little dinner, and decided to sit in one of the "big people" chairs at the kitchen table when he was done. He stood up, tipped the chair over, and came down on his face into the floor and baseboard. He had split his lip open just the night before after falling while playing, and managed to break the split open again, only this time it was much bigger. The cut was pretty big and open, so we took him over to the emergency room to see if he might need stitches. The doctor thought that a couple might be in order.

Cole was a GREAT sport. He got to watch Toy Story 3 while we waited for his lip to get numbed up. He cried a bit when they were sewing his lip up, but was very polite and answered questions about his dog while the doctor worked.

When he was finished, he got to pick out several stickers, and was back to his old self. He ended the night singing "Ring Around the Rosey" in his bed.

He was quite the brave boy! We love you, big guy, and we're so glad you're ok!
