A Week of Firsts

Cole has been expressing some interest in the potty recently, and has been more vocal when he's dirty and would like a change. We started to make the potty part of our regular routine last week. He loves his frog potty, but has mostly been interested in commenting on what frogs say and reading his book. Last night during his bath, he told Mom that he needed to use the potty. He sat on the potty, and after a long discussion about all of the people who use the potty (Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papa, Nana, Poppy), he decided he'd give it a try. He was a little confused by Mom's squeals of praise, and she's not entirely sure that he knows what happened, but it's a good start!

In other news, Cole starts school this week. Today we head over for orientation, and Thursday will be his first day on his own. Other than Mom's dreams about people feeding him foods he's allergic to, we're excited for him! :)

You are such a big boy, Cheeks! Mama loves you to pieces!
