Sensory Box

A favorite activity for Cole at occupational therapy is to play with the sensory boxes. It's basically just a big bin of beans, rice, or sand that the kids can play in and use to feel new textures. Mom decided to make Cole his own box for home using rice. We dyed the rice using food coloring and hand sanitizer, let it dry overnight, and voila! A rainbow sensory box for Cole.

It makes a bit of a mess, but he really enjoys it. He spent a solid half an hour playing with it today, and that's a LONG time in Cheeks-time!
